Just as a teaser that Spring is around the corner, we just received a beautiful bird fabric and 2 different panels. One panel has 4 squares that are about 15” square and the other panel has a center block that is about 12 x 30 and 4 blocks around the center that are about 9 x 14. The 2 companion fabrics are an all over print of the birds and an all over print of the berries. I want to make table toppers of the panel with the 15” square birds.

I went to my grandson Adam’s Pinewood Derby and watched him walk away with 3 of the Highest trophies. Fastest car in Pack 356, Fastest car in the whole derby and Best of show voted on by all the other boys. His car looked like a candy bar and it was awesome. Congratulations Adam. You were awesome.

We have received 190 pillowcases so far toward our goal of 1000
American Patchwork and Quilting has challenged quilters and crafters to “Make a Pillowcase, Make a
Difference”. Their goal is one million pillowcases in 2010.
Quilt N Go is your local shop that is participating in the challenge. Please help us reach our personal goal of 1000 pillowcases to be given to Centra Care, Heartland Rehab Center, Laurels of Bedford, Oakes of Northpointe Woods and The Legacy, Lifespan Continue Care and Safeplace just to name a few that we have contacted. If you know of others that would like to receive pillowcases, please let us know.
We are asking you to help us reach our goal by making as many pillowcases as you would like to donate and to tell all your friends about this challenge. Let’s show the nation how generous quilters and crafters in our area can be. Our shop will collect the pillowcases, donate them to a local charity and update the pillowcase counter at www.allpeoplequilt.com/millionpillowcases. The counter will track nationwide progress toward the goal
of one million pillowcases. Every pillowcase will make a difference in our community. A pillowcase can provide comfort for a cancer patient, hope for a foster child, encouragement for a battered woman, or beauty for a nursing home resident.
If you purchase a pillowcase kit from Quilt N Go anytime during 2010 and return it to the store for donating, you will receive a $3.00 store credit as a thank you gift. Please help us reach our goal. We have a free simple pillowcase pattern or there are free patterns at www.allpeoplequilt.com/millionpillowcases
We will be hosting free pillowcase sewing days so watch the calendar and here at the blog.
