If you are not one of our Facebook friends (and you should be), you may have missed this video of a sample Joyce made and has on display in the store. It is a casserole carrier that when opened up has a table runner for you to use also. The pattern is from Among Brenda’s Quilts and available to purchase HERE.
Just add a casserole dish and you have a great shower gift, a housewarming gift or a Christmas gift. It’s never too early to start your homemade Christmas gifts. Avoid the rush at the end of the year, come in to QNG and get your pattern and fabric today.

We just had our Tonga Rhapsody Batik Block of the Month meeting for January and the show and tell was great as usual. Connie had a baby quilt to show us that was donated by Diane Lincoln for the Quilts for Kids project that Connie collects quilts for. Great job ladies. Next week you get your last kit for the Tonga Rhapsody, then we will start a new club in March called Northern Stars. It will use batiks again from Timeless Treasures. The pattern is by Wind and a Prayer.

Do you have a "stash" of partial/small pieces of batting? You can piece them without sewing into larger pieces!!! Sewing them together can be tedious and often leave stitching lines. Well, "Heat Press Batting Together" product is WONDERFUL! You just put two pieces of batting together, one on top of the other. Trim them with a rotary cutter, then place the two trimmed edges side by side, place on your ironing board and cut this Heat Press tape to size and press on the batting. It works so well, that you can start using up those small pieces. It also works great for LONG ARM QUILTERS. You can add a length of batting while loaded on the frame!! Try it once and you "won't go back" to piecing the pieces!!
