This is a technique for machine quilting in smaller pieces instead of the whole quilt at once.The book shows you how to plan and prepare your quilt top, the batting sections and the backing sections to quilt in small sections. Also how to assemble your sections after quilting using various methods; the four layer seam, the five layer seam and the six layer seam. Quilting and adding your borders after the center of your quilt is finished and how to sew layer your borders to your quilt.

The Hatchet ruler is used with 5” Charm squares.  The ruler includes this free pattern for a table topper, make additional squares to make a table runner of any size.  Turn the squares in a number of different angles to make other designs.

This weeks Quilt N Go quilting star is Catherine Ludlow who is working on a quilt called “Settlers Trail” by Primitive Gatherings. I can hardly wait to see the finished quilt. The squares in this quilt are 1/2” finished. Talk about tiny but beautiful. She said there are more than 6,000 of those little squares in the quilt.
