Postcard Party Mail has arrived at Quilt N Go on Saturday, just in time to commemorate National Quilting Day! A wonderful collection of these 'miniature quilts' (measuring 6 x 7 inches) were on display--from the east coast to the west coast as well as from a variety of states in between!
Each participant in this Postcard Party was able to receive one postcard for each one submitted for this nationwide event. On the reverse side of each card was room for an individual message and space for return address or e-mail information from the sender. Each quilter selected from numbered strips of paper and received the postcard with the corresponding number.
Judy drew three numbers and received a crazy quilt entry from California, an embroidered turtle from Florida, and a scenic mountain view from New York.
Irene drew the dramatic sun from Arizona, Barb received the lake scene from New York and a floral bouquet from West Virginia and Marilyn now has the dreamy kitty from California.
Robin selected a windmill block from Kansas and Ohio Star sent from New York
If you haven't had the opportunity to answer the Postcard Party Mail call, be sure to stop by soon so we can add your picture to the gallery!
If you were not able to participate in this event, be sure to watch our blog for a 'second chance' to make your very own postcard featuring the Michigan design!

Now is the time to welcome Spring with a celebration of the creative quilts that have been generated during this Winter in Michigan!
Dorothy stopped by the shop to show a creative way to use a rainbow collection of 2-1/2 inch strips in her stash to make a wonderful 38 x 45 quilt. She added a cute floral appliqué to put her own personal touch to this project. Maybe this example will help to inspire a quick weekend project the next time you dive into YOUR stash! Thanks for sharing, Dorothy

The ladies at Teresa's zippered pouch class had fun today and they each walked away from the class no longer afraid to put a zipper in a project.
Teresa will be teaching the class again on Monday April 20th from 2-4pm

I am almost done with the wall warmer for our bedroom. I just need to add the outside border. It is the colors in our bed spread.
I think I might offer a class of this pattern. What do you think?
