If you haven't stopped by Quilt N Go in awhile, you might have missed all the exciting events planned! First, the annual Fat Quarter sale is next Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from 10-5. This will be an awesome sale, so you are going to want to stock up on all those fat quarters!
All of us at Quilt N Go have selected a Block of the Month quilt (wallhanging and mug rugs, too) to begin March 6th. The block shown is one from Ruth's Circle of Friends. Her blocks finish at 4-1/2" and have both piecing and hand applique. Joyce's BOM is actually a monthly mug rug club! Teresa is having fun with her Be My Neighbor quilt. Linda's quilt, Nancy's Fancy, is a beauty with tans and blues. My quilt is called A Tisket, A Tasket and is made using a wide variety of 30s prints. If you haven't signed up for one of these amazing offerings, we would love to have you!
Also next week on Wednesday, March 1, I will be teaching a class which will give you a chance to learn an easy bargello pattern. Although the fabrics I used are perfect for a baby or child, changing up the fabrics a little would make this a perfect lap-size quilt. Call or stop in to sign up. There are a couple of spots left for this class. My finished quilt is on display in the shop, so stop by and take a look!
Lots to do and lots to see at Quilt N Go! Stop in soon!
Yesterday afternoon was our monthly Bring & Brag at Quilt N Go. We had four ladies bring some very amazing projects to show!
First up, we were shown some additional projects which could be done with the Farm Girl Vintage blocks...
I am such a pincushion fanatic, I can't wait to make one of these! How about a pillow to go with your FGV quilt? I really need to get my book out and get some of these blocks made...thanks for the inspiration!
Next up, we had a new customer show us a snap bag she made, with some very cool modifications from the pattern she used...
The pattern was made better by adding some cute pull tabs to open the bag and quite a few extra pockets! This little bag is perfect to move from purse to purse with all your essentials...cell phone, driver's license, cash, keys, etc. And...how about that wrist strap to keep it close to you while shopping and yet keeping your hands free! Way to go!
The next project was a quilt made with scraps of fabrics and then put all together into this beauty...
And last but not least, we were treated to seeing a quilt from one of our Block of the Month offerings for last year...
This quilt is called Storytellers and is absolutely gorgeous! I would love to see this quilted and bound...maybe we can see it again!
The best part of Bring & Brag is to see how other quilters have used their talents to create beautiful projects! Watch the newsletter each week on Saturdays to find out when the next Bring & Brag is scheduled. We would love to see what you've been working on!
