Now that the holidays are behind us we are getting ready for spring. Even though we still have a few more months of winter left we already have our spring samples, patterns and kits out. The shop is full of bright colors and fun projects. We have a bunch of new and fun wall hangings that are quick, easy, and not to mention, fun to make! Now is your chance to get a head start on your spring projects so you don't have to rush later to finish them in time. Now is also a good time to work on projects to use as decorations. We all have lots of Christmas decorations but do you have any for Valentine's day? St. Patrick's day? Easter? Well if you're like me you probably have neglected to think about getting decorations for any holidays besides Christmas. So why not change that and come find one of our new joyful and fun new patterns to decorate your house with!
Now don't worry I didn't forget to give you guys that cracker recipe many of you have probably patiently been waiting for. This was the cracker recipe for those delicious crackers Joyce made for our Christmas open house. And if you didn't happen to make it to our Christmas open house, or didn't get the chance to try these amazing crackers because they were all gone by the time you got here, then I highly suggest you make these and see what you were missing.
Saltine Cracker Mix
Mix in a 2 gallon zip lock bag:
1-1/2 tsp garlic power
1-1/2 tsp onion powder
2 T. Italian Seasoning
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp Lawry's seasoned salt
1-2/3 C. Canola Oil
Then Add all 4 sleeves of Saltine Crackers from one box.
Seal bag filled with air.
Toss crackers in bag every 5 minutes
or continually until seasoning and oil is absorbed.
Let crackers rest overnight for the best taste.
Refrigeration or freezing extends the flavor.

A little about me:
I have really enjoyed working for my grandma and writing this blog for you guys! Some of my co-workers have told me that I should start putting a little bit of something about me in some of the blogs. So since its almost Christmas I thought I would share one of my favorite Christmas traditions. Every Christmas eve my grandma takes the time to write out clues for my brother and me to go around the house and find our Christmas presents. It is so much more fun to go on a scavenger hunt to find the presents rather than just taking them from under the tree.

Last Wednesday Kim and Shirley came in ready to tackle the midi bag class taught by Joyce. They both had tons of fun making their bags. Shirley even put her own spin on the pattern by changing the way she put and cut her fabric on the fusible. Kim also picked out gorgeous fabrics that made the final bag look absolutely stunning. Both ladies left with wonderful bags and smiles on their faces. Come stop in and pick up a midi bag pattern and the fusible interfacing to make your own lovely bag like Kim and Shirley.

It's arrived! The Fall, 2015 edition of the Missouri Star Quilt Company BLOCK is now available!
In this edition, Jenny features ten patterns mixing new ideas while revisiting old favorites. The Merry-Go-Round quilt (pictured above) commerates a bygone era where the end of summer was marked by that last trip to the beach or boardwalk and a memorable ride on a carousel.
The Easy Hashtag quilt will be a real hit with a teen on your Christmas list. While we might recognize it as the number or pound sign, the hashtag has proven to be an effective and easy way for us to "link to other messages of similar theme or content" while using social media.
Jenny also takes an updated look at the Dresden pattern in Dresden Squared and has new suggestions on how to make the Cathedral Window easy. In addition, she always has great ideas on making each one easy and fun!

With winter fast approaching, and the holidays coming with it, you've probably started thinking about how you are going to decorate your house for the winter season. You've probably thought about putting lights up on the house and a wreath on the door but what about the inside of your house? Why should you let the festive decorations stop outside? Why not let them come inside as well. Or maybe you have thought about decorating the inside of your house but don't know how or don't have decorations for the inside. Well worry no more! Quilt n Go has a variety of different projects for all skill levels. Whether you have lots of time or little time we have a project for you. We have the patterns for napkins, beautiful table runners, and cute monthly minis. This season you could make a new table runner and show it off at Thanksgiving or even Christmas dinner. Or if you already have plenty of table decorations you could decorate your bedroom or any room in your house with a gorgeous wall hanging or mini wall hanging. We have plenty of festive panels that you could just add batting and binding and there you go, you have a gorgeous wall hanging that took little time and adds a festive spirit to the room. And since the wall hanging didn't take you very long you could make a mini wall hanging to hang on any door in your house! So come stop in our shop and find a project to make for the upcoming and fast approaching holiday season.
