It's Snowing

clock November 9, 2008 04:35 by author Ruth

As I sit here with my cup of coffee and good book, I am watching the snow fall. Yes, it is snowing in the lower part of "lower pennisula" Michigan. It is a good time to get out old projects that might not have been finished last year at this time. Like snow landscape wall hangings or maybe a Christmas project that didn't get finished in time for Christmas. Come on now, many of you quilters out there know what I'm talking about. I have forgotten too many projects in bags because I love all the new patterns coming into the shop "this" season. I have gotten onto a yo-yo bandwagon and am working on a yo-yo Snowman for the store. The pattern is from Indygo Junction called Yuletide Yo-Yo. I used the Clover Yo-Yo makers and the Clover Circle Cutter

The Yo-Yo maker turns the edge under and makes the yo-yo's the perfect size every time. I made 50 of them in no time at all. Melissa (one of my very enthusiastic employees and friend) has uploaded the notions onto our web site  www.quiltngo.com I will post a picture when the snowman is done.

We are excited to present some new kits available this week.

First is Thea's Puzzle, made out of the brand new Amy Butler fabric.  This is a  bright, cozy quilt, that measures  64 x 64. It would make the best christmas present, what are you waiting for?

Here is a quilt made from the pattern "Sassafras" by Thimble Blossoms. The quilt uses 1 jelly roll, and 3 fat quarters.  You can purchase the kit how we made it or chose a different jelly roll.

Also, look what fell off the fabric delivery truck this week!!!! New Dreaming in Color Batiks from Moda!!

We had the ladies from Nancy's beginning quilting class in on Tuesday.  Nancy's class is full of tips and tricks, and the ladies seemed to be having a great time!

Stay tuned for pictures of our upcoming November retreat.
New Classes posting soon.

Fall Harvest Shop Hop 2008

clock September 27, 2008 08:27 by author Ruth
We had an awesome time at Quilt N Go this fall harvest shop hop. We saw many new faces and of course many familar friends too.
We couldn't have asked for better weather! It was sunny and warm through the whole week.
We decided to take advantage of the last of the warm fall days and put some sale items and quilt kits outside this year.
Here is our favorite shop owners' husband Steve doing his annual apple cutting duty!
We had hot coffee, cold bottled water, cookies, apples, and popcorn this year. Here is Ruth (shop owner) popping up some hot buttery popcorn!
Thank you to all the shop hoppers and regular customers who stopped by and brightened our day!
